I’ve spent the best part of a decade in the spirits industry, working as a distiller and blender for some of Irish whiskey’s most recognised and respected brands. My blends have received international awards, including at the World Whiskies Awards and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

I’ve worked across every stage of whiskey production, progressing from distiller to blender, and ultimately to Head Distiller and Head Blender at Clonakilty Distillery in Cork, before moving into independent consultancy.

Along the way, I developed my own approach to blending. Shaped in part by a parallel study of perfumery, it has informed several of my award-winning whiskies.

I believe blending is the natural next step for enthusiasts who want to move beyond tasting and begin creating. There is a revolution waiting to happen in the whiskey community—one that could fundamentally change the way we understand, explore and enjoy whiskey.
